Technicolour is our life

It was that time of the year when the who’s who of New Delhi turned up looking their best to catch a glimpse of designs that will send the fashion barometer soaring in the coming months. Here are glimpses from this year’s Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week that brought together India’s leading designersEkruEkta Jaipuria and Ruchira Kandhari’s collection embraces the rich cultural heritage of Europe, India and Mexico. The colourful story includes chocolate, black, turquoise, sea green, red, plum, and off-white. It also features folk embroidery to create beautiful accents and sharp tailored silhouettes with a sophisticated touch. The floral embroidery in vibrant colours go well with uniquely colourful texturing in the collection. Ruffles, pleats, tucks and quilting added a quirky touch to the collection. It includes jackets, dresses, skirts, saris and lahenga in beautiful variations and innovative cuts.
